And It Was June, June On The Isle Of May

Thank you to those of you who joined our sold out Giant Knitting Workshops on Saturday! We had such a great time getting to know you all and spending the morning and afternoon feeling miniature under giant knitting needles. Thank you to Christine Voelker from Carterton who equipped us with such magical natural wool from her organic farm and thank you to Kate Caie who's amazing teaching skills enabled you to leave with such amazing woollen throws. A perfectly timed workshop coming into these colder months! Brrrr!

I personally would love to put another Giant Knitting Workshop on 2018's schedule...what do you think?

Keeping in tune with these winter feels, we're delighted to have Liadain Aiken's merino Hats back to keep our heads warm as the cold begins to creep in. Ten merino adult hats and four lambs wool baby hats arrived to the shop and within two weeks, there were 5. Stay tuned for another order to arrive very soon, along with new LA scarves and mitts! As per usual, if you see a colour combination you like but its been snapped up, let us know and we can try our best to make your dreams come true!

On the 18th of May we welcomed  'Water's Edge', an exhibition by Joy de Geus and Brent Courtney to the Ventana gallery and man are we impressed! We are presented with various studies of the ocean and land's intersect at Cape Palliser, through the eyes of two artists, De Geus - a Wellington based painter and Courtney, a photographer based in Auckland. Pop in for a look and point out familiar aspects of our beautiful Wairarapa coastline. 'Water's Edge' will hang with us (pun intended) until the 26th of June. It's not long and you don't want to miss this one!
